Healthy Lunches

The school is fortunate to have excellent kitchen and dining facilities. The school operates a daily choice system from a carefully selected menu. Children then pre- order during morning registration. Meals cost £10.25 per week and should be paid each Monday in advance. Money should be placed in an envelope bearing the child's name, class and the amount enclosed. This can be paid for in advance. If you think your child may be entitled to free school meals, please ask at the office for a form. Water is provided but you may want to send your child with their own water bottle.

Alternatively children may bring a packed lunch to school. This should be of a healthy nature and must not include sweets. (Please see our healthy lunches leaflet and/or packed lunch policy for more details).

Packed Lunches should contain dairy, carbohydrates, protein, vitamins & minerals and sugars & fats in the proportions shown below.

One week's notice is required either to begin or cease bringing sandwiches.

The schools administration officer can provide information about free school meal entitlement.

Non-teaching supervisors carry out lunchtime supervision. Children are expected to behave in a sensible and polite manner towards these supervisors. Children who consistently fail to behave may not remain at school for lunch.

Children may go home to lunch, but dining and playing with other children is an important aspect of their social education.
