Fancy Dress Fun Run
Monday 14 Nov 2022 01:55am
Good afternoon all,
Each Christmas we have traditionally completed the ‘Reindeer Run’ for Prince of Wales Hospice, a local charity and have raised thousands of pounds for this incredibly worthwhile charity. This year, we would like to focus on something closer to our school community.
You may be aware that Penny in Ash class has recently had a stem cell and bone marrow transplant, which has required her to have chemotherapy. Penny hasn’t been to school this academic year, and this has meant her Mum has had to be her main carer and be there around the clock. Mum has not been able to work during this intense and challenging time.
Our school vision states as a school we offer a stable rock for learning, resilience and aspiration as we travel through life. Penny epitomises everything about being resilient and throughout this ordeal has kept smiling, a true inspiration to us all. Simply, she is a wee star!
This year, after speaking to Penny’s Mum, we would like to do a Fancy Dress Fun Run instead of our traditional Reindeer Run, in aid for Penny. The run will take place on 2nd December. All donations will go straight to support their family at this awful time. More details will be in the Christmas letter.
I know you will support us with this and as ever, I am grateful for your continued support.
Mr Baird
